mini vacation

My alter ego, off-track wife/mom is back.  She is the blogger it seems. 

We took a little mini vacay this week.  Miles was working in Costa Mesa and his work put him up at the Wyndham Hotel.  So we tagged along and used his room.  There are some perks to the travel and being a corporate wife.  ;0)  Miles worked the entire time, and we played.  We went to Disneyland twice and the beach once.  I managed to squeeze in some shopping at South Coast Plaza and Ikea... since, we were in the area in all.

The kids and I had a great time.  It is amazing how different things are now that they are older.  I just brought my purse to Disneyland and that was it.  Soooo easy in comparison to the recent past, where we had a stroller, diaper bag, bottles, snacks, etc.  I was just appreciating the freedom and independence from all of that.  We had a blast together.  Noah and Hannah managed to enjoy the fireworks show.  The second night, Noah's goal was to make it through the entire fireworks show without plugging his ears.  Mission accomplished.  This is a major feat, as just a week ago, we had to hide inside during the fireworks. 
 
We also ran into my big sis from college, Aimee Healy and spent an evening catching up.  She was there with her kiddos so everyone had a good time.

Ah vacation.......it makes me long to have the sun in my hair and NO responsibilities except my kids. Oh, wait that is a HUGE responsibility, but a fun one. ;) Anyway, looks like you had a great time. I need some Disneyland time for sure, I am feeling the void........Maybe in two weeks.

i ditto the DL part. we have 1" to go and hem w can all go on all the rides, cali screamin' is our last one... thick soled shoes here we come!
